Summer has been an employee within Baptist Health for the past 15 years; however, she has nearly 19 years of nursing experience. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Auburn University of Montgomery in 2004. In December 2011, she graduated with her Master’s in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. She is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a family nurse practitioner and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She is also a member of the Advanced Practitioners of the River Region, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, and American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Since April 2012, Summer has been providing prenatal care. She has been with Baptist Health Care Partners since 2018. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, Pilates, and spending time with husband, daughter and their three dogs.
