Dr. Tolentino received her undergraduate and medical degrees from University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens in Jamaica, New York.

She was a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice from 1995-2002 and is currently a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama (MASA). She is currently a Chairman of the Department of Family Practice at Baptist Medical Center East.
