Dr. Brian Gary received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee and completed his General Surgery Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.

Board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Gary’s clinical interests and procedures include Robotic and Minimally Invasive Procedures, Gastrointestinal, Breast Cancer and Disease, Colorectal Disease and Cancer, Hernia and Bariatric/Weight Loss Surgery. A Fellow of American College of Surgeons, his awards and honors include Montgomery Advertiser Community Hero Award, Keynote Speaker for Grand Rounds at the Medical University of South Carolina, Patient Satisfaction Award and Patient Choice Award. A proud Tuskegee University graduate, Dr. Gary was also inducted in the Tuskegee University Athletic Hall of Fame.

Married with two teenagers, Dr. Gary enjoys golf, snowboarding and cycling in his spare time. The Bible verse found in Philippians 4:13, gives him continued strength and encouragement: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
